6 RATIONAL-EXPECTATIONS HYPOTHESIS
Теория рациональных ожиданий
Гипотеза, основанная на предположении о том, что субъекты экономических отношений могут самостоятельно прогнозировать предстоящие события, имея доступ к соответствующей информации в момент принятия решения. Ожидания, которые формируются у предпринимателей, оказывают существенное влияние на принимаемые ими инвестиционные решения. Они являются важным фактором, определяющим колебания экономического цикла. Если бы бизнесмены обладали полной информацией, экономический цикл в своем нынешнем виде перестал бы существовать. Не было бы также такого явления, как денежная иллюзия (см. Money illusion). Теория рациональных ожиданий ставит под сомнение государственную стабилизационную политику (см. Demand management). Например, если государство намеревается увеличить денежную массу на 5%, экономические субъекты ожидают роста инфляции и предпринимают антиифляционные меры: рабочие требуют соответствующего повышения зарплаты, предприниматели повышают цены на товары и услуги, кредиторы увеличивают процентную ставку. Результаты государственной политики таким образом сводятся на нет. Концепция рациональных ожиданий и теория эффективного функционирования рынка - два основных принципа новой классической макроэкономики. Ср.: Adaptive expectations. Ожидания
Представления о будущих событиях, влияющие на сегодняшнее поведение субъектов экономических отношений. Главной нерешенной проблемой в экономике является проблема неопределенности будущего, особенно при наличии у каждого отдельного лица свого собственного представления об этом будущем (см. Risk and uncertainty). Исходя из этого, многие исследования включают ожидания в экономические модели. См.
